Mia · 哈佛大学
A US high-schooler with a 3.97 GPA and a passion for public health — from scattered activities to an ED2 offer at Harvard.
Student Background
A US high-school student with a 3.97 GPA and a 34 ACT, passionate about public health and involved in community health screenings — but with scattered activities and no core narrative.
The Challenge
Public health draws thousands of applicants. How does a participant become a leader? Her ACT sat below Harvard’s historical average, and her academic depth needed building.
Mentor Strategy
Reframing the story
we uncovered her work designing a “health-knowledge corner” for an underserved community and built a single thread around it — solving healthcare access with local, human solutions — connecting her screenings, campus initiatives, and interviews with public-health experts.
Essays and activities
we helped her design a “Public Health Awareness Week” with school and community partners — talks plus free clinics — and strengthened her leadership with data (people served, health-literacy gains). Her essays followed an observe-act-reflect arc that showed real thinking about equity.
Strategy
leaning into Harvard’s holistic review, we emphasized her cross-disciplinary strength (biology plus sociology) and added a short research paper analyzing community health data. She was admitted ED2 to Harvard’s public-health direction.
The Result
Admitted ED2 to Harvard University (Public Health)

Student Voice
“The day the Harvard offer came, I could not stop thanking you. My love for public health used to feel scattered and fuzzy — you helped me find the thread, and the academic depth to back it up. This is the field I will walk in for good.”
